Welcome to the Largest all Service Marine Facility on the Exe
The Retreat Boatyard is a traditional all services Boatyard employing a dozen marine professionals covering all leisure and marine services, all in-house and on-site. The Yard is located in Topsham, Exeter - offering both excellent access to the M5 (literally 5 mins from Junction 30), and the water. We have extensive on-site storage for between 140-180 boats, on site multi dealer engineering, GRP/wood workshops, fit out services, rigging, fabrication and welding - in fact we can provide all services for yachts, motorboats, leisure and commercial. In addition there is an engineering parts desk, extensive chandlery, boat sales and brokerage. Here, all on site and available for viewing or just a casual look over if you are uncertain of what you are looking for. We are here to help.
The site is located in an old listed stable block and associated walled gardens of the old Retreat Estate, and benefits from significant river frontage. We aim to provide customers good friendly service, and to make your boating experience as enjoyable as possible. Call in, and we will be happy to discuss your requirements, and if you are unlucky make you a boatyard tea or coffee! Staff are always happy to help you in any manner possible.

Update as of 16/5/2020: Despite the 'unlock' of the waterways, there are still many prudent restrictions in place. It remains our duty to be responsible to ourselves and each other; whether family members, staff, customers or the general public. We take guidance from the government, ECC/Ports Authority, and other informed sources in order to protect each other and mitigate managable risks. Please respect these requests. Enjoy the outdoors. Enjoy your boating - on moorings, on marinas, on land, on the river/sea. Demonstrate care and responsibility to others, and be aware of the possible future issues which may arise....again. Thank you, and be safe.
