Craning, Winter & Summer Storage & Moorings​

The Retreat Boatyard offers craning every day, all year around (tidal dependent). Boats are predominantly moved with a bespoke Roodberg 15t mover, and stored on-site in our own secure compounds offering parking, electricity, water and waste disposal. As required boats can be supported with 4 point cradles, Brownell three point stands or Rooberg lift and move cradles. As well as land storage, flexible moorings provision to 56 boats is available opposite the yard, with pontoon and tender access with free dinghy storage. Just ask and we can provide a package that suits your needs.

Craning and moving

We crane all year around, and always keep the craning area free for emergencies. Apart from our standard rates, we run promotional periods through the year. Pleas ask. For small boats, we offer cheap fixed price options, and also provide customers with an 'on-demand' service which allows trailer boats to be stored on land and launched when you want.  All lifting equipment is regularly inspected; and all staff have CITB / NPORS qualifications.

Moorings
Storage

Storage is provided all year and the rates are for advanced payments only. The storage areas are on-site, and come with electricity, water, waste disposal, parking and security, as well as dighy storage (for a fixed £100 fee per six month season). Summer and annual rates are priced slightly below that of local council facilities. And in summer we provide a combined mooring and land storage service, with launch on-demand for a nominal fee. All winter customers are given up to £212 of credit and services free during winter, and we aim to provide true value, great service, all at competitive prices.

We provide up to 56 managed deep water and drying mooring opposite our yard, with pontoon access, use of tender, courtesy moorings down the Exe, free parking and access to the yard, at an all-inclusive price.

 

Mooring and Summer storage customer benefit from a flexible charging process, and may keep their boats on land or water - depending on requirements, with only nominal craning in/out fees. This on-demand service is extended to visting boats on trailers and so we offer great flexibility for all customers.
